It was one way that you gave your whole life to the Lord each day. This is where it all begins, every morning offering everything that day to God!

This is reflected in the story of the Wise Men, or Three Kings, found in Matthew chapter 2. The Three Kings came before Christ, and the first thing they did was to prostrate themselves and do Him homage. They humbled themselves. So a good way to get the mind of Christ is to fall on your knees every morning. Every day, prostrate yourself the way the Kings did, and say, “Jesus, I love You, I give you my life, take over….” Whatever it is you say, do this daily on your knees. When you do this, you are humbling yourself. And, as I’ve said many times before, you’ve got to do something that practical. This is something very practical, and you can start it tomorrow morning, so do it!

I tell people to do this at every mission I preach and so often, if I check back with people who made the mission, ninety percent of them won’t have done it. They say, “I’m not getting on my knees every morning, are you kidding me?” A few will. A few will say, “Oh, yeah, you did say that, didn’t you, Father?” Most people just think about it. See, I give very practical things. It’s not like I preach la-la-isms such as, “Oh, just have nice thoughts about Jesus.” NO! This is what you are going to do: you’re going to FALL ON YOUR KNEES EVERY DAY. You’re going to offer Him your treasure and give Him your gifts.

This gives us something practical to do. Sometimes we have to carry that out physically to have the mind of Jesus. When I fall on my knees every day, I make an act of humility. Jesus always made acts of humility. He left heaven for you and me. He took the form of a slave for you and me. He died for you and me. So when you wake up in the morning, after you get on your knees, you say, “Okay, Jesus, to have the mind of Christ, who do you want me to die for today?” Because He will call you to die today. (Aren’t you excited?)

Every time you do the will of the Father, you are going to die. Every time. But do not get stuck on the dying part; you die so you can rise! It is when you die that you gain life. This is what Jesus did: When Jesus looked at the Father and said, “Your will be done,” what did He do? He went to the Cross and died. When you and I say, “Your will be done,” to the Father every day, sometime today God is going to let you die — out of love — because there is no love without sacrifice. If you love people, you are going to die for them — in little ways.
